Hi everyone.

Can someone please explain to me how do I connect my router to the Internet? I just moved in an apartment, the old owners are not very talkative and I have already a router from Vodafone as i have a contract with them in my old apartment and they were ok to move it in the new one. See please the photo. Thanks

  1. There should be outlets in the living and bedrooms with coaxial fittings. Normally you connect the router to the coaxial outlet and then to the devices, either by wifi or LAN cables. It may be the case that your house has LAN cables routed into the rooms from this box. In that case, you can put the router in there and connect the green cables, then simply run LAN cables directly from the wall (though I have no experience with that).

  2. Seems like there is no router/modem to connect you to the internet. Do you have a contract with a Internet Provider?

  3. Obvioulsy there has been a DSL Router/modem installed in this Box, connected to the Telefone Jack (top left) and also routing 4 (green) ethernet-cables presumably to the different rooms of the apartment.

  4. The bottom left is the distributor for cable TV/Internet. Only as it is, nothing can be connected. Look in your apartment for TV sockets with the data connection. If there is none, a technician from Vodafone has to come. The technician could then theoretically also accommodate a Kabel TV/Internet Socket in the box.
And yes i used a translator
