  1. He must have seen the shadow of a bird and thought it was a drone. Very understandable conclusion.

  2. Apparantly,he resigned because of his disastisfaction with the new Cabinet, saying that it is too undiverse.

  3. >Oh, wait. This is not a real government.

    Zarif, probably.

  4. Smart move. People don’t last in those jobs.

  5. He was the chief diplomat for the last nuclear deal. He resigned because the president is a moderate, like him (read as open to the west as possible in Iran) and he was being personally attacked because his kids hold US citizenship.

He also mentioned a lack of diversity from the cabinet, indicating he was under the impression that his appointment would allow his policy voice to be heard.

Seems like the President and VP are basically international puppets to be rolled out as moderate voices, then put back in their cage for actual decision-making.

Also, his position leaves him specifically open to being a scapegoat in the future. It is better to leave early.

  6. It is not written that Iran comes from Arin (the land of the Aryans).

  7. That is not good. Now they will put some nut job in.

  8. “Oh these people are crazy and won’t listen to me, but just want me to read what they tell me to.  Better leave before they decided I’m too counter to the regime to remain alive”

  9. The Vice President also cited his concern over little red dots of light appearing on his torso whenever he walked around in public. /s

  10. In Iran the president has little power. It’s reasonable to assume the vice president has none. But they still make an excellent target if things go sideways for both foreign and domestic adversaries. Seems like a very sound career move in the current environment.

  11. I was excited. I thought it said **Vice President Vance**

  12. One more day and he would have received a full pension!

  13. Iranian here, this guy was used to put up a show to get more people to vote and they succeeded

  14. >”I am ashamed that I could not implement, in a decent way, the expert opinion of the committees (responsible for selecting candidates) and achieve the inclusion of women, youth and ethnic groups, as I had promised,” Zarif said.

Damn imagine being that disappointed 11 days in.

  15. Someone was just informed of what will happen to them if they pick a fight with the west.

  16. I keep hoping for the Persians to finally be free from their extremist regime…

  17. dude realized he was NOT cut out for what’s about to come

  18. Iran is the template for all those western countries like the USA and the UK and certain zealots wanting to go back to the good days, back to religious values, when women knew their place and non of those lgbtq were allowed to exist anymore… yes 1979 worked out so well for Iran and its people.

  19. It’s my ball and if we’re not gonna play by my rules, then I’m going to quit.
