  1. Shouldn’t this take more than a ban from schools? Why isn’t this pedo in jail already?

  2. One of our teachers met a former student in a club few years after she left and was in a relationship with her . Don’t agree with that at all

  3. Think they are a fan of The Spectator? One of their editors has the same problem.

  4. I went to an all girls boarding school and some of the story’s I could tell you about that place

  5. This is rife in some schools, usually private.

A teacher at a school a friend attended was accused of having sex with a student, the case made the national newspapers and he became a cause célèbre. He got off, did some interviews, collected a big pot of donations, and that was that.

What didn’t come up in the case was that his first wife was a student of his at another school, that he had started taking out for private free tutoring at 15, taking on trips, etc.

Nor did it come out that he had asked out the head girl at prom ‘as a joke’ but actually seriously, had a relationship with her, heavy on a schoolgirl ‘roleplay’ (is it roleplay if she is your student and does wear the uniform?)

Why did none of this come up in the case? The head girl he’d dated was finishing off a law degree and didn’t want her name associated with the case. The other girls who knew exactly what had gone on but again, were ending up in banking, medicine, law, didn’t want to be associated.

His ex-wife? One of the biggest investigative journalists in the country. Her reputation would be ruined if she came out saying she’d covered for his abuse.

Abuse seems to be rife either at the very top or very bottom of society, because at the bottom, nobody believes you, and at the top, you have too much to lose reputation wise if you become ‘that abused boy/girl’.

He no longer works – framed as being ‘blacklisted’ but in reality he was the scion of a beloved condiment fortune and never had to work in the first place.

That’s just one story, exes went to schools where English teachers dated sixth formers openly – both sexes re teachers and students. This was 15 years ago mind, but it is not uncommon, not by a long shot. Disheartening to see comments on here saying ‘well they’re both adults’ when any fool could see the ‘official’ start of these relationships is the tip of the iceberg. An English teacher dating his star pupil the moment they turn 18 was lining her up for years, any idiot can see a rapport wasn’t formed within minutes of leaving school.

  6. Is the teacher a, well, you know? What positions did they do it in? Why is this information being withheld?

    Just asking questions.

  7. They should change the rules so that even if the child is over sixteen it’s still a criminal offense because of the power disparity. They do that for prisoners when it’s a prison officer, why don’t kids get the same protection?
If you become a teacher to screw kids, there should be serious consequences.

  8. Doesn’t even matter whether anything illegal happened or not IMO. The fact that he’s in his 50’s and these girls are teenagers proves he likes them young 🤢. Predator in the making.

  9. It’s fucking weird that anytime a case like this gets posted there’s freaks on this sub defending the perpetrators.

Normal people don’t care about the technicalities of noncing, if you’re seriously taking time out of your day to explain why it’s actually okay for teachers to have sex with students then maybe you should take a long hard look in the mirror

Edit: this is what you’re defending by the way

    > In a series of messages to pupil A, Mr Jackson sent correspondence including: “Drunk, Thinking of you. Bad idea. X” and “I want you. Near me X”. He also invited pupil A for dinner on one occasion when she was on **study leave**, when the pair ended up having sex.

All the people replying who clearly haven’t read the article – why on earth are you stepping up to support a pedo without even knowing the full facts of the case? Personally I wouldn’t want to die on that hill but that’s just me

  10. I was surprised until I saw the associated religion on the school sign. Then I was significantly less surprised

  11. So many creepy guys here trying to justify banging an 18 year you’re responsible for teaching. Fucking vile.

    It’S LeGaL.

  12. Teacher here . These people need to be reported , banned and jailed . There is no excuse for this behaviour at all . Parents entrust you with their children to educate them . Not sexually abuse them which is what this is.

  13. even if she 18, should be a crime. It’s fucking creepy, disgusting.

edit: also having read through the article entirely I’m very sure there should be an investigation into this dude grooming his students ??

down vote me all ya want this shit should be illegal

  14. So it was an abuse of power. Not a pedo. Grooming might have been an issue but legal means legal

  15. Seeing all these stories of teachers getting away with it. A teacher at my old secondary school was caught having had sex with a student (15 I think). He went to jail for years and banned from ever working with kids, so it’s not all teachers getting away with it.

  16. In a few years, they’ll be married and she’ll be the president of France.
