  8. Putin’s biggest fear is some kind of Russian colour revaluation. He was a KGB man in East Germany when the wall came down. He’s seen first hand what happens when autocracies collapse.

    He’s spent twenty years systematically destroying anything that remotely resembles an organised Russian opposition movement. But he’s a sociopathic narcissist paranoid.

    Right now he’s never looked so weak.

    So he’s gut instinct will be a massive knee jerk reaction to terrify he’s own people into meek complicity. He’s locking down Moscow before any kind of protests get started.

    As to a palace coupé. IMO not outside the realm of possibility but highly unlikely. If it was going to happen it would have gone down already.

    Preston Stewart (excellent y tuber analyst) today made a soft prediction that Ukrain was sowing chaos in order to execute some larger plan in Moscow or Crimea. Said he was going out on a limb with this and did not want to commit to any further details for risk of embarrassing himself even more.
