  7. So this is the place all the brainwashed sheep come to bleat 😂 Ukraine attacked an area full of defenceless old people, to distract attention from the relentless losses they are suffering in the real front lines. Today their foreign minister began back-peddling, but it is too late. Retribution has started.

  8. Ukrainian forces lost up to 260 people and 31 armored vehicles in the Kursk area over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

According to the ministry, the enemy lost up to 1,610 troops over the entire period of hostilities. In other news, the Russian Federal Security Service, also known as the FSB, said that a serviceman of the Ukrainian 80th separate airborne assault brigade was detained in the Belovsky District of the Kursk Region.

Below are the highlights that TASS has put together about the situation.

    Situation in the region

    – The battlegroup North and the deployed reserves repelled seven attacks by assault groups from the Ukrainian 80th and 82nd airborne assault brigades in the areas of the settlements of Martynovka, Borki and Korenevo in the Kursk Region over the past day.

    – In the Kauchuk area, Ukrainian mobile groups riding armoured vehicles were stopped as they attempted a breakthrough into Russian territory.

    – Fire damage was inflicted on clusters of enemy troops and equipment in the areas of Kurilovka, Plekhovo, Lyubimovka, Sudzha, Kositsa, Gogolevka, Kazachaya Lokna, Mikhailovka and Sverdlyakovka.

    – Russian aircraft hit Ukrainian reserves in the areas of Miropolye, Mogritsa and Drobnovshchina in the Sumy Region.

    Ukrainian losses

    – Over the past day, the enemy lost up to 260 servicemen and 31 armoured vehicles, including three tanks, eight infantry fighting vehicles, 20 armoured fighting vehicles, as well as 27 motor vehicles and three 122 mm D-30 howitzers in the Kursk area.

    – Ukraine lost a total of up to 1,610 servicemen, 32 tanks, 23 armoured personnel carriers, 17 infantry fighting vehicles, 136 armoured fighting vehicles, 47 motor vehicles, four anti-aircraft missile systems, a multiple launch rocket system and 13 field artillery guns during the fighting.

Testimony from a captured Ukrainian soldier

    – The FSB said that a serviceman of the Ukrainian 80th separate airborne assault brigade was detained in the Belovsky District of the Kursk Region.

    – During an interrogation he said they were ordered, if the local population put up resistance, to shoot them all dead. According to the soldier, Ukrainian servicemen engaged in looting when they entered populated areas in the Kursk Region.

    – The captured soldier said Ukrainian forces planned to reach Kursk and Belgorod in order to use this attack later allegedly for a peace treaty with Russia

Gas stations, stores near the border

    – Stores and gas stations in the border areas of the Kursk Region are reopening as the situation stabilizes, said Mikhail Aksyonov, the region’s acting minister of industry and trade.

  10. It’s so frustrating how the west is blocking the use of weapon use, it’s like they just want to keep Ukraine endlessly bleeding men until there’s no one left to fight.

  13. The Ukrainian nationalists wanted the power station… they couldn't reach it.
Half of their invasion force has already left the battle field permanently.
All on a silly stunt, to keep Westerners interested and themselves in the news cycle.

  15. Three American Patriot Missile Batteries and AN/MPQ-65 Radar Taken Out in Ukraine – Reports

The Russian Armed Forces were reported on August 11 to have successfully struck three surface to air missile batteries and an AN/MPQ-65 radar station in Ukraine. The location of the strikes, and the kinds of assets used to achieve the kills, remain unknown. Unlike a number of prior reported kills against Patriot systems, no footage has emerged in the public sphere confirming them. Patriot missile systems have been prioritised for targeting by Russian forces from mid-2023, after the first systems were delivered in May that year. Systems have been donated by Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States, with further deliveries by Spain and the U.S. expected. Their complexity, and the years of required training to operate them, has led analysts to widely conclude that contractors from Western countries are likely to be playing a central role in operating them. The delivery of Patriots to the Eastern European country has been prioritised due to the serious depletion of its Soviet built network of S-300 and BuK air defence systems, which previously represented by far the largest surface to air missile arsenal of any European country.

Some of the clearest footage of the destruction of Patriot systems was published on March 10, and showed an Iskander-M ballistic missile system the previous day using targeting data from nearby drones to launch precision strikes on the systems and on accompanying S-300s. This occurred near the Sergeevka locality in the disputed Donetsk region. Analysts writing for Forbes observed at the time that as a result “the air over eastern Ukraine may have gotten a lot safer for the Russians,” with destruction of the air defence systems allowing for strikes on Ukrainian forces in the region with near impunity. Further footage of successful Iskander strikes on Patriot systems has been published since. The loss of Patriot systems is particularly sensitive due to the global shortages on the supply of such systems, with the U.S. Army’s own arsenal increasingly thinly stretched – a situation exacerbated by the sudden increase in requirements for them from October 2023 following an escalation of attacks on American military facilities in the Middle East.
