  1. But where do you put it ? You need land which is also super expensive

  2. Good luck getting the municipality to approve, very few does.

  3. That TARDIS looks bigger from the outside than the inside…

  4. A good plan if you are able to find a piece of land affordable. Also you need plumbing works. But overall you can have a great place for half price of a normal house

  5. I’m 50. I bought a house 16 years ago with my wife but if I would have stayed alone I would very much buy a tiny house and a small piece of land somewhere quiet.

  6. The issue with those tiny houses or chalets is that you cannot register there… I’ve seen plenty of quiet ok’ish looking houses which need a bit of renovation, but the commune would not let you register at the property.

  7. In most of the world it’s illegal or otherwise “unfeasible” to “put” and register a tiny house without a $/€1m cost on its own

There’s a few websites keeping track of places where tiny houses can be “put” and registered that don’t cost millions and you’re basically looking at arctic circle settlements, disputed regions, goodwill/artists communities etc.

  8. The main issue is actually putting this tiny house on a land… that you own.

  9. I have done glamping and slept in those chalets here in Luxembourg. They are cute but after two nights I wanted to leave because the insulation was bad and it was either very cold in the early morning or hot and stuffy during the day. Hopefully the houses they are selling to live in full time don’t have that same issue
