So US wants to continue to sell their LNG to highest bidders (who are in Asia) and Russia has to supply Europe below spot market prices, because… reasons… Makes sense…
Why US does not send US gas to Europe “quickly” instead? They have more than enough LNG production to cover the EU deficit.
Oh, wait, too busy making a profit in Asia…
So, is Europe actually trying to buy gas from Russia? I don’t see any stories of particular companies/countries making offers to buy gas but being refused, all I see are pleas for Russia to just send gas to no particular person.
US to Russia: damned if you send gas to Europe, damned if you don’t.
Maybe, U.S. officials are also willing *to actually pay fair market prices* for said more gas?
It’s capitalism now, you know.
But I thought Europe wanted to depend less on Russian gas, thats why it is opposed to NS2, to get less gas and be less dependant…
