Ukraine seizes 28 Russian villages in Kursk region as over 100,000 forced to flee | ITV News

More than 100,000 civilians have been forced to flee the Kursk region of Russia, after the Ukranian army took control of 28 villages since launching their attack almost a week ago.

Vladimir Putin has vowed to “kick the enemy out” of Russian territory, after officials in Kursk informed him Ukrainian troops had managed to advance 12 kilometres into the territory across a 40 kilometre stretch of the border.

  19. it's because US is backing Ukraine, and as Rusia is now involving and backing Haiti, iran, so Ukraine must use the US weapons to divert Rusias focus to internal war. It's purely war tactic

  48. They already tried it previously suffered heavy losses in equipment and manpower and retreated. Invading and capturing is one thing but to be able to manage and hold on to the territories indefinitely or for at least an extended period of time, which are populated by Russians, is another thing entirely. Note in comparison that all the areas Russia is controlling in Ukraine are populated by ethnic Russians. They don't need to worry about locals giving out information on their positions etc. Whoever believes Ukraine can or will defeat Russia, a Nuclear Power, is delusional. Russia will also come out stranger as they not only learn about the weaknesses of their own forces, but also of the west.

  50. Now do the Russian people understand what the Ukraine people are going through? Even the Americans had to admit they were lied to by the Bush administration and the nonexistent WMDs. Many weren’t around or had forgotten Vietnam. Unless you had a loved one who was drafted Vietnam didn’t affect them so just accept it and assume your country’s leaders are doing the right thing.
