Now that’s a confidence boost. Bet the bullies never walked to school with the president. What a legend.
<3
I need to see his walk in the wide meme format.
You can only hope this worked out well for her.
Bullies suck, and I hope this leader walks her to class over and over again until the bullying stops. Overwhelming force and whatnot.
What kind of sick fuck bully’s someone with Down Syndrome.
Parents of bullies could use a visit of state police. They must be doing a piss poor job. How quick they jump in to defend their bully offspring vehemently shows it all.
God bless him. Anyone picking on those with down syndrome or anything like that is a POS.
Good man.
I detest bullies with a passion. They ruined my childhood.
Presidential 👌🏻
Opposite world: girl with Down syndrome walks President back to school.
No idea what politics this guy stands for, but that’s pretty cute
First time seeing a post about N. Macedonia here thats mostly positive
Everything is fun and games untill the kid you bullied turns up with the President of North Macedonia.
Respect to him. But can anyone tell me whether he is actually a good president or not?
I think i read about this on my aunts instagram story, apparently the parents of the kids who bullied her wanted to remove her from the class and started a petition to do so.. crazy
I really don’t get it, special needs kids were off limits in my school, bullying was pretty common but never on them
Don’t know anything about how the guy is doing as president, but he’s pretty good as a human being.
Kids are terrible. As an experiment my school opened a class for children with some sort of mental problems – I was a kid back then so I dont have details but they were either slower thinkers or had some other problems with blending in. They had to shut it down after 2 years because of all the torture other kids inflicted upon them ( I remember once bullies took one of the kids to toilet and beat him until he started to lick the inside of the urinal).
in poland going to school with the president would get you even more bullied
Not sure about north Macedonia but if I walked into my class with the president of my country I’d probably be bullied even more.
I want to believe this is just a nice gesture.
But I’m to deep into politics to believe bin kind people.
The sad part of this story is it’s not so much that she was bullied, but rather that the parents of her classmates actually collectively decided that their children boycott the lectures until this girl was removed from their class.
Not to piss on anyones parade, but this is what a PR stunt looks like. The fact that most commenters swallow this hook, line and sinker is sad. I know litte of this politician, but when a high-ranking politician gets pictures taken with babies, war veterans, the disabled, the elderly etc. its generally to improve approval-ratings. That lagre parts of the voting public is gullible enough to not see through this actually scares me.
Resident of North Macedonia here. Can confirm the president is a Giga Chad. However there is more to the story. See, North Macedonia is a very small country, something posted on facebook has a good chance of being heard by pretty much everyone. The girl was infact bullied but in a different way. The kids in her class didnt want to share a classroom with her, so the teachers had her moved to other classes temporarily and eventually ended up making her study all alone in an empty classroom. Eventually the parents of the kids started a petition to remove the girl from the school entirely and posted it on facebook, thats when the outrage happened. Cant say this is 100% true but most likely is.
She wasn’t bullied. Parents of her classmates wrote a petition to have her removed from the class due to different issues.
The media made a big deal out of it, and people thinking that Down Syndrome kids are always calm and non-problematic backed the media up. Some politicians benefited from the publicity and hence this photo.
Absolute powermove
Back in high school in 2002, a group of girls was walking towards me and a girl with down syndrome. Right when I walked next to her, the group said out loud, “Go be with your girlfriend”. Then they pushed me into her and it knocked her to the floor. They started laughing and she started crying. So I helped her up and walked her to her classroom. Got a nephew with down syndrome and love him to death.
I just read that it was the parents of the kids that complained that she was in the class with their kids!!! WTF, this is beyond retarded.
Respect to him and parents who are able to raise a kid like that. I’m not afraid to admit I couldn’t it handle it myself.
I wonder where she’s fyrom.
Drops her off at school: “alright, now you’re on your own’.
It’s partly a PR stunt, but to be fair to him, Pendarovski is one of the few politicians in North Macedonia with a proper moral compass, and therefore well-suited for the presidency. It’s mostly a symbolic position there (he technically has a veto but rarely uses it), so this act is in line with his function.
Girk with down syndrome walks President of North Macedonia to the Parliament after he gets bullied in a session.
