I just watched Sing Street ([https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3544112](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3544112)), and one of the characters claimed that on a clear day you can see Wales from a point near Dalkey Island.
I’ve googled a bit and I’m getting conflicting answers. What’s the scoop?

You can see it from bray head
Yes, occasionally you can see Snowdon Mountain.
Yes and it prooves the earth is flat.
On a really clear day you can see The peaks of Snowdonia from the back of Howth head.
You can see whales from Dublin, but not Wales.
Some people swear that on a clear day you can see Wales, but it is too far for that to be possible. A combination of wishful thinking and optical strain make them believe they are seeing Prince Charles sitting on Snowdon Mountain. LOL
Yep. It’s very possible on a fairly clear day from Howth.
Edit – a photo taken from Bray: https://www.reddit.com/r/ireland/comments/47rm0r/view_of_welsh_mountains_from_ireland/
Yes, on a clear day its visible from howth.
You can see it handily from Tick Knock on any reasonably clear day.
I knew a guy who saw a dolphin
Seen it last year with my mate on the Dublin/Wicklow border in the mountains. We were trying to guess what it was for ages then took out Google maps, no land that way other than Wales. It has to be super clear, but yes you can.
You also can see the North of Ireland from the Dublin mountains (Ticknok).
You can, but you need a really clear good day
