No not really, if he goes to school in espoo then try to ask him about it, otherwise you most likely dont need to worry.
It’s a right wing leaning online paper not a particularly well known or responsible one at that, general stories with slanted stories mixed in, the story seems very very biased against immigrants and repeats a lot of myths, also complains immigrant kids are treated like native Fins when they get in trouble and they think they should be treated differently or worse the natives I guess, the fathers lay all the blame for everything on immigrants, the school data doesn’t support anything they say.. racist bullshit basically. There was a uptick in trouble across all schools due to COVID when they came back but it calmed down pretty quickly so yeah, they are full of shit
I’m a father, my kid goes to an Espoo school and I didn’t hear from my son nothing of the sort.
It is literally 2 people writing in a local free newspaper. Do you consider the “from readers”-section of a newspaper to be reliable source of unbiased information?
I myself was one of these unlucky ones who had violence happen to them. It happened in my first year in Kaitaan yläkoulu and now I’m in my third tear of lukio so this happened not that long ago.
We had a system where after lunch they opened up the cafeteria to sell snacks to the students and I ended up telling on someone who stole an iced tea. He ended up following me with his gang of friends after I left to consume my snacks and after an altercation he hit me in the face once so hard I lost consiousness for a second or two. Luckily a dumbass friend of his filmed the whole thing and we made a rikosilmoitus. There were like 10 people who saw the whole thing and literal video proof to pretty open and shut case.
Turned out he was a few months off 15 so the police told us to go fuck ourselves and the kid who hit me didn’t get any consequences by the police or by the school for some fucking reason and I had to attend the next 2 years in constant fear of retaliation for telling. Before this I always felt comforatable with authority but this drained away all belief in justice and safety and my respect for authority so well done school and legal system.
There are a lot of people in these schools that you just need to learn to avoid or you’re gonna learn the hard way. Perhaps they have a shitty home life and are projecting it but I can tell you that not a single of these obnoxious and violent friend groups/gangs were comprised majority native finn which speaks volumes to me.
