  1. Good to see Ireland not putting up with Musk’s shenanigans. He’s extremely anti worker.

  2. Ah, European labor laws are great. Seeing American companies run headfirst into them is even better.

  3. Good job Europe.

Deserved to be occupied and taught that you have to actually work to earn that much money.

  4. I am waiting for the comments of Americans who will start defending the richest man in the world and large corporations instead of ordinary people

  5. Anyone know how many employees X has in Dublin now?

  6. Fortune -a terrible platform to read from

Ads permanently shift text so it’s a pain in the ass!

  7. Here’s to hoping Musk throws a tantrum and pulls out of Europe

  8. Sadly @ 550k the price to pay out to one employee is probably more than compensated for in the number who just left, or stupidly said yes with the click of a button.

  9. I think the headline is misleading. If I remember correctly the legal issue is about the company considering that he voluntarily quit for not replying, what is a completely different thing.

  10. “Resign”? The fucking audecity. It’s called fired. So you get a severence package and all that.. Is that what it was about him forcing resignation instead of fireing?

  11. Believe it or not but you actually need a valid reason to fire someone in the EU

  12. It’s good but he has so much money this fine is meaningless to him.

  13. Could they go ahead and force Elon to divest himself of it as well while they’re at it?

  14. They should have just rounded it up to 1M for aggravated troll-like behaviour

  15. LoL Elon family practicly owned “slaves” and you expect him to be a good boy.

  16. honestly, that means Musk won. 550k means nothing to them. If you increase it by a factor of 10 and pay that to all affected employees, than we might have a case.

  17. The Irish employee wins right there. A nice bonus for getting away from a terrible boss.

  18. If we promise to pay taxes would Ireland be willing to grant everyone in the US Irish citizenship? It would be fun to watch the US employers crumble overnight.

  19. Elon thought he was speaking to an employee in US 😂😂

  20. I am quite critical of overprotection of employees but this decision is GREAT. The sum should have been higher though. A boss needs to RESPECT his people.
