  7. Left one on the image (bald) is left wing. The other one is the right wing. Right wing guy is from Erdoğan’s party (AKP) and a former football player. So nothing surprising here. They know nothing will happen to them so they do shit like this. Even some fans of AKP would love this guy for punching.

  24. More context…A LOT more context:

    The left-wing MP, bald one, is Ahmet Şık from Turkish Workers’ Party or TİP for short, he was a former journalist who got arrested before and released. The right-wing MP, the one that looks like Omni-man, is Alpay Özalan from AKP(Erdoğan’s Party) who is an ex-footballer.

    The meeting was about Can Atalay who was also an elected MP from TİP and currently arrested due to his relation to 2013 protests…his relation was being a lawyer and accepting to defend people who were arrested in protests, go figure lmfao. Most AKP and MHP(far-right ally of AKP and political branch of Gray Wolves) MPs wanted to remove him from the seat but the opposition and a more center-right wing of AKP refused, called the process literally illegal and the speaker who is also in this center-right base didn’t bring it up to block the process. When nearly every MP was in a field duty AKP pulled a meeting and placed a speaker that’s like 5th in line yet an obedient boy to quickly revoke Atalay’s seat.

    Supreme Court said “that’s illegal wtf” and ordered the parliament to take this decision back and even release Atalay from prison. A lower Court said “nah Atalay’s a terrorist and shit” and since we are a lawless state AKP decided to listen to the lower court. We have a law in the constitution saying “Until the decision is finalized Supreme Court’s orders must be obeyed” but screw that I guess.

    Today the parliament gathered again to discuss this matter with that 5th in line yes-man speaker ruling the session once again. AKP MPs called Atalay a terrorist, Ahmet Şık made a furious speech calling AKP members shameless, depraved and true terrorists against state then Alpay Özalan just walked in and punched him. A fight instantly broke out, another AKP MP even punched a woman MP from DEM(Kurdish party, usually left-wing).

  38. Erdo is the worst thing that happened to Turkey. Him and his gang turned Ataturk’s parliament into a circus. It’s embarrassing.

    My generation of Turks who were born in 1970s saw some crazy stuff but none of it comes anywhere near what’s happening now.

    There is so many absurdities happening in Turkish politics that once AKP falls we will need an all out purge to clean up this mess.

    Education will need years to reverse as Erdo and his conservative religious gang removed Ataturk and evolution from school programs, fucken embarrassing.

    On top of that they turned the parliament to their own backyard. Erdo made his own chauffeur an MP who is an uneducated ultra religious conservative misogynist that criticized Turkish female Olympic basketball team for wearing short outfits, he wants them to cover up to suit his religious agenda.

    I am so angry at all this, I am also angry at Europe, new generations will not know this; Erdo was arrested and jailed by the Turkish military for trying to change the regime, but European Union made a big fuss about human rights and freedom of expression that he had to be released, then him and his gang supported by EU took all the power from army and removed the last obstacle from declaring his dictatorship.

    You guys really hurt us by backing him up back then.

    EU was never gonna accept Turkey as a member state anyway, why mess with the system?

    20 years of Erdo, 20 years of religious conservative authoritarian backwards regime.

    I don’t remember Turkey being in this much trouble before Erdo. Everything went to shit.
