We should never forget the reason why USSR (and allies) fought the Germans during WW2.
Don’t worry, the Czechs will rebuild it when they take Kralovec.
The castle looks like the Prussian version of Hogworts
The story of the Königsberg Castle without the Amber room, the source of endless conspiracy theories?
Time to take this land back to home and rebuild it properly.
How many Germans were expelled from present day Kaliningrad?
Take back occupied Königsberg!
It was a nice place. Then Soviets destroyed it. It is criminal what they did there.

Russians do what Russians do best – destroying what other people created.
Sad to lose any bit of cultural heritage, but as you can probably imagine that, for an army of almost exclusively conscripted, impoverished, malnourished, and unbelievably psychologically damaged adolescents, upon seeing the royal palace of and very seed of Prussian imperialist militarism of the arch-rival who had since murdered tens of millions of your compatriots in the most brutal, inhumane was possible and never before seen on such magnitude in human history, not to mention having destroyed indiscriminately nearly every village, town, city and farm over tens of thousands of square kilometers… that preserving, honoring, or rebuilding this structure *may* not be *exactly* the first thing that comes to mind, especially when tens of millions of your compatriots back home are starving or homeless after the war.
Just saying.
Another prime example of all the good the Russians bring to an allied/occupied area.
Still shocked that Ukraine doesn’t want this for their nation.
Now compare it to Gdańsk, Szczecin and Wrocław.
Russkiy mir.
Argh, the pain. The Konigsberg bridge problem.
there are more news about it actually. The foundation have been burried underground and the square building is being dismantled rn. New quite ugly apartment blocks are planned in the place of the castle
Barbarians
It’s a cursed place (cause was a sacred place of pagans). So even the House of Soviets (last photo) which Konigsberg Pałace was demolished for has repeated palace’s fate. It was fully torn down some days ago.
Honestly, the WW2 was a pointless conflict(I am aware of the tensions at times but many of them could have been resolved more peacefully). That many lives lost, that many destruction, and for what?for the ambitions of two dictators with mustache and a shogun
Unpopular opinion maybe, but what happened there was straight-up ethnic cleansing.
wow that’s sad I wonder what happened to precipitate that particular renovation?
