Good, also not destroying it in the first place; better.
Florida will be an archipelago of seawalled communities in 200 years. This was going to happen regardless.

It’s weird – there is pretty strong pro-conservation bent with a lot of Florida residents. Tons of protected natural areas, beaches have buckets and trash cans for people to do impromptu cleanups, turtle nesting sites are roped off and monitored.
But if they decide an area is fair game, it’s going to be absolutely wrecked.
Largest environmental restoration project in the world? I’d like to see the basis for that claim
