  14. Trump said this because he *ONLY* sees the world from a “me” perspective. He’s saying that because he places more value on the civilian reward, because he only thinks about not wanting to be injured.

    He cannot fathom that the rest of see the military reward in higher regard because we respect the sacrifice the service member made for their country.

    To him, they were “suckers” who “knew what they signed up for.” This is yet another example of his narcissism.

    Trump is vile.

  23. Veterans will continue to vote republican. i’m a combat vet of afghanistan and honestly it’s almost pointless with trying to argue with those who do.

    many of us choose the military and wartime service. There hasn’t been a war since the civil way that hasn’t had a member of my direct line serve in combat roles. yet in many leftists circles you’ll hear talk of how stupid we are, or how we wouldn’t have made anything of ourselves in the regular world. or the assumption that we are all dependent on the government.

    I think a lot more veterans will react to the damage trump is doing to the republicans long standing tradition of lip service to the military while knifing our backs. But, as a cation to liberals, leftists, and anyone who identifies with that side of the aisle; it would behoove many of you to try to not sound condescending when you’re speaking about us or for us.

    many veterans like myself deal with ptsd, chronic pain, and brain injuries. I’m not even half of who i was when i joined mentally and physically. I’m not asking to be thanked for it, i’m just suggesting that saying good things about veterans in ways other than virtue signaling a single politician, or depicting us as poor misguided fools would go a long way.

  34. I remember a few years ago my dad was telling me how a guy he knows essentially cut ties with my niece. His reasoning was that she was super anti-Trump following the 2016 election. Well this guy is a hardcore Trump lover and they get into one day. The guy basically tells her, “Your dad was an army vet! How dare you act this way, he’d be rolling in his grave!” Now, as a vet myself I can confirm I laughed when I heard this story. It’s insane that people truly think just because you say “We love the troops” that you actually mean it, all while your actions say otherwise.

  45. Any veteran supporting trump is either misguided or just too stubborn to realize he is not for the military/veterans what so ever. I don’t ever want to call my brothers and sisters in arms idiots, but when you play the role, kind of hard not to. I just hope everyone realizes what their agenda is for veterans and the military if they are elected.
