Hello, I am of Slovak and slavic descent and my last name is eastern Slovak (my last name is regional and from the spiš area) I was wondering what the name of these designs were called because I plan on getting a slovak/slavic tattoo soon. I know certain designs are specific to certain villages and I want to get one from the area my dzedo is from. Thank you.

runes ?
Hmm, seems a bit similar to “Čičmiansky vzor” but a bit modernized. It doesn’t have particular meaning, it’s just a cool folklore pattern of some kind.
Im not sure if there is a name for slavic runes. I will have to take a look, but i doubt it.
Here’s some inspiration if you want a true Slavic tattoo

Looks like cross stitch pattern to me but I’ve never seen this particular pattern.
Edit: you can google “krížiková výšivka”.
If you’re really dedicated to find out about it, you might check out this book, although I am not sure how well you speak Slovak – I guess almost not at all – but there isn’t too much text in it.

Čičmany vzor
Carpet design
Maybe try googling “slovenská tradičná vysivka” , cicmanske ornamenty is well known…it should be noted that it is very regional, and regions here are very small
There is also a possibility that it is not necessarily Slovak embroidery. Check out “vyshyvanka”

To je vzor “balící papír” na dárečky a tak. Tak být tebou si to vytetuju na péro, ať jí můžeš říct, že pro ni máš dárek.
