I was there recently. The old section has lots of cool bars and vinyl shops.
Nice picture, but it’s one of the most awful cities in Europe imo. High risers everywhere, and the population appears to be mostly bankers and hobos.

See Frankfurt, fix your disgrace of a Hauptbahnhof. The city is nice but that area is a shit stain and everyone finds it hard seeing anything else beside that. Zeil used to be a beautiful and lively place too

Visited a few times on extended layovers while changing planes in Frankfurt. The walks by the river were lovely and clean and quite pleasant. And went to the Christmas market in December and that was awesome. Seems like that YouTube video was focusing on showing Turkish immigrants and businesses as the main complaint and passed by a remodeling site with junk on the street, but I walked through this area and I don’t remember it being scary or dirty as the video suggests.
That picture is already several years old as WinX is still under construction there

I stopped in Frankfurt for one day during a trip. A pigeon shat in my beer and as soon as I got on the autobahn a truck in front of me made a little stone fly and shattered my windshield. Fuck Frankfurt.
