I’m still 100% that the anti nuclear movement is a psyop of the Russian/American government(s) to get the eu to buy their gas and oil at a ridiculous price when we could have had the cheapest electricity prices in the world.

The last 3 big nuclear projects in Europe have all taken much longer and cost MUCH more than was promised. Also, the French national nuclear operator had to be bailed out by the French government.
Maybe the Germans are on to something.

You people do realize that you are going to follow soon anyway right? Yes tearing them down at this point is stupid. But some of you are still building new ones. How stupid is that. You people are aware of how long the world uranium ressources are going to last right? And where the price usually goes with rare ressources?

Somehow, in the whole CO2 debate, nobody seems to realize that uranium does not grow on trees and that nuclear power generation is not cheap. The industry is massively subsidized, the long-term costs are still completely unknown. Deposits have to last for hundreds of years and contaminated sites may have to be reprocessed.
But yes, who wants a wind turbine in the backyard, right.
And then they buy power from France that was produced in a nuclear power plant. Total genius
