Has anyone experienced this? I have a number of Milan Adidas jerseys that were in storage and now have damage to the lettering. The sponsors/ customization name/ numbers have gotten tacky and they stick to/ stain the rest of the jerseys. What’s heart breaking is that it’s ruined some really sentimental shirts.

Oddly enough, I have a bunch of other jerseys (other adidas sponsored teams and Nike, Puma, etc.) that aren’t damaged at all.

If anyone has any solutions to at the very least stop the damage from getting worse, I’d appreciate it!

  1. Happened to me. I hang dry mine now, also I don’t drive in my car with one on because the numbers and letters stick to my leather seat

  2. I had the 2008 bwin jersey

The logo came off after a few years despite me not wearing it a lot

Perhaps it was my mistake as I didn’t hand wash it, but I did put it on a delicate cycle in the washing machine

  3. This happened to my zlatan #21 kit. I did not put it in the dryer. It came out of the wash and the letters were sticking to each other. I have no clue why it did that. Ran the wash on cold like usual. Hand washing only from here on out all kits.

  4. Air dry only , but tbf sooner than later it’s bound to peal . Shit sucks but I don’t believe they make jerseys to last like that
