Drone footage shows scale of destruction caused by wildfires near in Greece

Drone footage recorded near the towns of Varnavas and Rapentosa, just over 35km and 26km north-east of Athens respectively, showed large areas of earth scorched by wildfire and widespread damage to properties in both towns.

  3. There are wildfires from time to time. Trees burn, the ashes are a natural fertilizer. New trees of the same size will grow within a few years. If you build a house in a forest in a dry region, you have to consider this. So how is this "news"?
