3. I think people are willing to live in flood and wildfire zones because they’re desperate for affordable housing. But we need to think long-term, not just about the short-term gain of cheaper housing.

4. This will probably happen less and less often as insurance companies leave risky areas in droves. It will be kind of hard to get approved for a mortgage on a house that can’t be insured.
