Unfortunately, this is been promoted for 10-15 years and hasn’t accelerated. The move has been towards electrification with batteries. I think there’s some very niche applications of biofuels, but until the trend for algae can actually start accelerating towards the specific markets, maybe jet fuel only, it’s not really going anywhere. I might even make more sense to make algae oil, recycle the nutrients, and pump the oil underground for carbon removal.
