I am mostly looking into the vehicles used, uniforms and equipment, but wouldn't mind hearing some stories and learning about some policies. I am a collector old Eastern Bloc items and would like to also know where I could buy some stuff related to the Rendőrség.

Never been to this museum, but can be interesting: https://www.rendormuzeum.com/ (no English version, as far as I can see).

For stories: this book is the best source. It was quite controversial even in its time. Google Translate works fairly well.
There are lots of police and military items (medals, uniforms) from the socialist era on Vatera (Hungarian auction site): https://www.vatera.hu/
I’m not sure if anyone sells internationally, but it’s worth a look at least for the pictures/info.
Why?

You can relive it now.
About stories: my grandpa was into countercolture at that time, so he had long hair. He got pulled over regularly by police, for the sole reason he had long hair. He got incarcerated every time, and given a mandatory haircut. Got released afterwards, because nothing else was provable.
