  1. In other news, diplomats in Turkey’s foreign service are desperate about Erdogan’s order to expell the diplomats of ten Western countries, and the Lira hits new record lows, approaching an exchange rate of 10 Liras for a Dollar.

    When you aspire to be a neighbourhood bully (in Turkish: “regional power”), then your fate is isolation and suffering. This valuable lesson is currently learnt by the Erdogan/Bahceli regime and wide swathes of the Turkish population.
