I work as a delivery driver for a Chinese. Discovered only last week that a house special chow méin and a spice bag together are absolute heaven.
All is well and good until your in bed and you have a mouth as dry as Gandhi’s flip flop
Not much chinese about it
Had a Chinese dinner for New Year’s, had a few of the inlaws over, got a good few main courses and a few starters and stuff. Put in the middle of the table and had a kinda buffet dinner.
Hands down the best takeaway experience of my life!
Chinese is nice. But I honestly don’t get the obsession with smothering all of the food with the sludgy brown curry sauce. What type of curry even it it?
Indian > Chinese… and that’s an indisputable fact.
In fact it goes

3. Chipper

A lot of people on their high horses about the authenticity of the food in the picture. But I bet they wouldn’t say no to it regularly. Looks amazing OP.

You can tell looking at this that it’s nasty but in the best way
Add a slice of Brennan’s white bread with Real Butter and you have yourself a Gourmet Meal!
There’s a local indian called the Punjabi House, which is amazing. Always beats chinese for me.

There are some woefully bad indian places, though, which makes it hard to say “indian is always better”.
This is about as Chinese as the Irish pubs in China are Irish
As an expat I miss this so so much
