1. A bit harsh to ban the books as there will inevitably be *some* kids out there who want to read that stuff.

   But I don’t think there should be *too many* of those kinds of books either. And that applies to a number of other categories not relating to LGBT+ or topics like sex education etc. Having worked in a school before one of the things books were used for were to improve reading comprehension and that’s largely what they should be used for IMO. So if there happens to be a trans child in the class they absolutely should have books to cater for them (if those books are their thing), but it should largely be about (heh) diversity.
