  1. Spent a lot of time in Sydney and Melbourne… totally checks out.

  2. I think it’s ironic he posted a video and used his privilege to get Instagram responses most people will never get, including from the airport itself, as we’ve all been pulled out of line and searched before. I certainly have a couple times, and I fly a lot, like Eric likely does.

I assume he’s a little more upset about it after 25 hours on a plane, but wonder what happened to make Eric Andre behave so out of character with this video, he usually has the world’s highest tolerance for uncomfortable situations.

  3. Says the guy who has made a living fucking with random people on the street. I have a hard time with him playing any sort of victim. Can’t stand him

  4. Nightmares nightmares nightmares! – Eric Andre’s review of his experience

  5. This makes me think so much less of him. I never thought of him as the type to play the victim.

I’ve had multiple friends and family members that have been randomly pulled aside and quickly searched closer while traveling

    Boo fucking hoo

  6. I saw his video on IG. When that dude isn’t smiling you know some serious shit happened

  7. I can’t tell if he’s being serious or not or if he’s just wildly out of touch. He seems like a pretty down to earth dude. This is common practice. Happened to me and my white friends in Sydney as well.

  8. he got in serious legal for one of his pranks where he didn’t go to jail

but he gets stopped and questioned every time he goes to Canada, because of the charges

so it’s not a big surprise airports keep hassling the dude, he literally is a red flag for any type of air travel

  9. FWIW, Australia has incredibly strict laws around bringing a lot of things into the country (drugs, alcohol, foods with seeds, uncooked perishable goods, etc). Your origin city and info on your declaration cards can also factor in. They can even pull you to wash your shoes before proceeding for hygiene reasons. This isn’t to suggest profiling doesn’t exist or that EA’s claim isn’t valid but white people are constantly stopped, pulled, searched or fined in AUS customs too.

  10. They were just looking to confiscate some ranch.

But in all seriousness though. Racial profiling is bunk

  11. Unlikely. There is not much of the identity politics like in the states.
