  31. I love how the obvious response is to embrace calling yourself weird and listing out your platform to demonstrate how really “weird” it is. Except their platform really is weird and not common modern American values. 

    The fact is though the Democrats are running on a platform that builds in the achievements of the mid 20th century liberals: expanding civil rights, women’s rights, supporting unions and regulations that keep products safer for consumers. Perfectly common sense normal policies.

    Republicans are running on a return to the 1880s with Robber Barrons, and an end to civil rights, women’s rights, human rights, labor protections and consumer protections.
