You can see where the walls were. One of the old gates left is the Barbakan, it’s got to be in the upper part of the picture, not far away, along an alley starting from the Main Market square there’s the Czartoryski Museum with masterpieces from Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci, amongst the others.
Crazy how compact medieval towns were. Makes you realise how “massive” the modern world is
So many gorgeous Poland posts lately. Guess I found my next travel destination
I love this photo
Have been there twice and it’s one of my favorite destinations here in Europe. Really recommend it. Especially old town with the fascinating main square. People are very welcoming and approachable, too.

I love how nature is visible even in a crowded space like this

This town could be destroyed during ww2. Read more how it was saved.

One of the most beautiful, walkable cities I’ve ever been to. I was completely surprised by it and I can’t recommend it highly enough, especially for those who love travel photography.
It’s a great place to visit! Awesome food, great beer, wonderful people… we loved every minute of our stay there and I’m aiming to go back soon.
Wonderful city ❤
Where is air pollution is it safe is it alright?
Wawel Hill in the foreground. I have huge love for Krakow after spending a lot of time there in the 90s (gf was from there) I used to own an apartment a couple of km out to the right of the shop. (Near the huge Tesco)
can someone circle the dragon on this?
so pretty 🙂
Such a wonderful town. I highly recommend the night train between krakow and Prague too!
