2. State funded terrorism to trigger a war, what’s not to like!? One of the many contradictions of WWI was how the liberal democracies of Britain and France ended up on the same side as countries like Russia and Serbia. Apparently, the UK thought an alliance with Russia was important *just because* they basically had nothing in common (except empires that might clash, I guess).
