Does it depend on the region perhaps? I live in a village and feel pretty safe walking alone at night. Might be different in big cities like Brussels or Antwerp.
This is complete crap. Ok there are some neighbourhoods that are sketchy, which is normal to have in any country. But, Belgium is normally safe, you can walk during the night and nobody would even look at you. Please stop making it look like we live in a ghetto country in which only by stepping out of the house means you gonna be attacked.
Russia, a country at war, is safer than Belgium… pure BS.
