It looks like a set for a 1970s TV sci-fi drama, when the budget ran out halfway through and they had to source some of the furniture from a liquidation sale. This would be a still from an episode in which the regular cast is terrorized by these flying, glowing, jellyfish-like aliens, bobbing up and down on visible wires to the sound of an inexpertly-played theramin.
