1. Could the heatwave be melting polar ice which then flood the ocean with cooler water?

2. Is there a paper or research report on this? The article quotes a few scientists, but no source for the research itself.

3. So is it bad or good? Is it good that the ocean is cooling a bit? But it’s bad if it does it rapidly which could shock/ kill things?

4. What do you mean nobody knows why? WTF??!! The thermohyline circulation is slowing. Because of Greenland’s excessive ice melt. Old news!
