EU calls out Polish ‘war rhetoric’ in dispute over judicial reforms

  1. War is obviously not on the table, but it would serve the commission to be very careful about their rhetoric.

Everything Ursula has said so far has been a constant self goal, and only corners Poland further. Obviously the Polish government is being extremely problematic, but the rhetoric of Brusselles only solidifies the stance of the Polish government, that the EU is out for their sovereignty.

Concessions need to be made on both sides, and the commission has to start. Otherwise the union is fucked for the foreseeable future. Von Der Leyen could for example stop dismissing wishes for more border protection and start supporting it. That would make the EU even more popular to the Poles and make problems for the anti-EU government.

Very bad diplomacy all around, really.
