  2. > “It’s one thing to shoot at a shooting range here, and another thing to put your life and health at risk. **But you have an inner need** to defend the fatherland and the courage to make such a decision,” Putin said.

“Your life is a sacrifice I’m willing to make”

  3. “Invincible Russia” except when they’re at war.

  4. “Surprise trip to Chechnya” is a strange way of saying “gone desperately begging for more bodies to throw into the meat grinder”.

  5. The ‘invincible’ Russian war machine is about as real as the ‘fearless’ Russian soldiers.

  6. Thanks Putin, you single handedly destroyed the Soviet Unions legacy weapons as well as your demographics all for a land you will never rule in your lifetime. You pushed Sweden and Finnland into NATO and provide us a cheap place to get rid of our soon to expire old weapons. We should be thanking the Russian people for bootlicking their dear leader. I feel awful for the people of Ukraine though, putler is an evil man.

  7. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://novayagazeta.eu/articles/2024/08/21/putin-commends-invincible-russia-during-surprise-trip-to-chechnya-en-news) reduced by 76%. (I’m a bot)

    > Speaking to soldiers at a special forces academy in Gudermes that bears his name, Putin praised the recruits for making Russia "Absolutely invincible".

    > Putin then visited a newly built mosque where Kadyrov and the supreme mufti of Chechnya presented him with a certificate making him an honorary citizen of Chechnya.

    > Kadyrov, a key Kremlin ally who was appointed by Putin to head the republic in 2007 when he was just 30 years old, said in a post on his Telegram channel that Chechnya had sent more than 47,000 troops to Ukraine since the start of the war, including some 19,000 volunteers.

  8. Putin’s body doubles are working extra hard, lately…

  9. I don’t know – it’s been looking a bit “vincible” lately

  10. Shame on you Chechens!

When the Russian soldiers were using your women and children for target practice during the two recent Chechen wars for independence, Ukraine was the only country that offered shelter and medical care for your men.

Now you bootlicking cowards are out there killing their women and children under your enslaver’s flag! All that talk about honor amongst you, yet you’re nothing but Kadyrov’s lap dogs who are being bought with Russia’s blood money after it had spent years trying to exterminate all of you.

Luckily there are still some honorable Ichkerian warriors amongst you, who are currently fighting for Ukraine. They will be there when Ukraine is freed from the Russian occupation and they will be there when Chechnya is also finally freed.

You can either join them and fight for what’s right, or live in shame for the rest of your lives because you fought on the side of your oppressors.

  11. This reminds me of “I’m eenveenceeble” dialogue from the James Bond movie Golden Eye.

  12. This would be so incredibly comical if not for the tragic loss of life and untold trauma inflicted on the Ukrainian people.

  13. “I never bullshit, Pickle Man. This can only end with one of us dead, and I have never died!”

  14. He’s everywhere but Russia right now it seems like. He might be a little worried about going home, first Azerbaijan and now Chechnya.

  15. Photo looks like a bad Putin body double. Putin is on vacay at one of his fortress palaces.

  16. I keep looking at Putins face in the video, something feels so wrong with it.

  17. Reminds me of the movie Goldeneye, where the arrogant Russian hacker Boris yelled “I am invincible!!” right before being turned into a human popsicle by a wave of liquid nitrogen. Just Russian things.

  18. Chechnya? Where incompetent Russian soldiers were massacred in a bumbling attack on New Year’s Day in 1995? That Chechnya?

  19. “So you’re saying… I’m invincible?”

“No no, even a slight border incursion could kill…”

    “Invincible…”

  20. “Remember when we fucking destroyed you guys for getting uppity? Fun times…”

  21. I lived under the impression Russians and Chechens could drink each other’s blood.

For Vlad to go there means *someone* is desperate.

  22. I thought it was mother Russia? Now, it’s the Fatherland?
