Hi all,
I did my first submission last year for tax return for just two or three months (time I’ve been living in Germany) and just got a letter today from the government. No ideia what it means, tried to translate but it doesn’t help neither.
Maybe someone could help me to understand?
Many thanks,

Pretty sure you paid too much and are getting it back. If so it should be on your account in two or three days.
Your tax assessment is 3.678+202,29 = **3.880,29€**. (“Festgesetzt werden” = taxes to pay in total)
You already paid 8.606+473,32 = **9.079,32€**. (“Abzug vom Lohn” = deducted from your salary)
Therefore you get a refund of 4.928+271,03 = **5.199,03€**. (“demnach zu viel gezahlt” = you paid too much)
I’ll recommend you to check if you can reduce your monthly deduction by filing a “Antrag auf Lohnsteuer-Ermäßigung”.
And they are checking if they can charge your refund against any open tax claims.
You get about 5,200€ back, will be transferred to your bank account within the next days.
You actually have some debts that the Tax authorities transfer to the other authorities u owe money
in the bottom it mentiones that u get the rest
