Local residents have noticed that the prices for ready-cooked food at Zorpas, the popular bakery chain in Cyprus, are higher compared to average restaurants in the area. Zorpas, known for its wide range of baked goods and ready-to-eat meals, has become a convenient option for many. However, this convenience comes at a premium cost.
Community members are advised to be aware of the price difference, especially as many turn to Zorpas for quick meals. While the brand is known for its quality and service, those looking for more budget-friendly dining options may find better value at traditional restaurants.

Zorpas is very aggressive in the way he does business .It’ s all about convivence ,variety and price.
They go next to their competitor and price cut the hell out of them. Zorpas is huge so they can have loss leaders.
Anyone remember the 1/4 Chicken with Rice and salad for 2.75Euros?
They destroy the competition and then the prices go way up.
solomos kofki kkelle giafto
€7.15 for salad. What’s in it?
Girl we pay 15 eur for a chicken & rice meal in other countries in Europe. Zorbas is a life saver when I’m back to Cyprus. You singlehandedly bought the most expensive stuff this bakery offers and you complain about it lol
8 euros salads 💀
For 23 you can eat a really good salmon (not frozen) in Tartufo.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they saw the costs of operations in NY (they are partnered with a bakery in NY called French Workshop) and the prices people are willing to pay nowadays for pastry’s stateside and is increasing prices in Cyprus as well. Just a guess.
Το καθαρτικο ΑΚΑ χυμός μπανανα πεπονι σταφυλι κουρκουτας ήταν καλό?
Salmon is around 22-30e a kg (depending on the quality/country).. add on staff cost, cooking costs, electricity costs/general overheads, packaging and the convenience of having the meal available without lifting a finger yourself… what do you expect them to sell it for?
Not surprising tbh if you think of how many services they have to offer… Variety staff, ingredients for baking, groceries, coffee, fresh sandwiches and salads + full meals at that demand… I’d pay 5 euros more for convenience, especially if I’m hungry at 2am what else is open?
@[SirenaHome](https://www.reddit.com/user/SirenaHome/) Before anything else is useful to ask for price. You bought the most expensive thing they have what you expect. They’re famous for ζεστά αλμυρά 2.50eu. If you like solomos go to psistaria. 11.50 or something like that. Don’t think about it and have a nice night, we live and we learn.
