You can still see daylight so there’s not that many ; D , I had a midge jacket, i was fishing in Torridon we were parked in the coire dubh car park, at the end of day sat on a camping seat for a coffee and cig before heading for home , I wish i had a phone with a camera in those days, but if you sat still it would go dark in the midge jacket there was that many trying to get in at you.

  10. Hope your camping was OK in spite of that! Near Glen Affric yesterday one measly midge followed me in the car and got his fair share of me.

    Smidge the Midge doesn’t do the 8 hour protection they advertise.

  15. We cannot get out. They have taken the bridge and the second hall. Frár and Lóni and Náll fell there bravely while the rest retreated to Mazarbul. We still hold the chamber but hope is fading now. Óin’s party went out 5 days ago but today only 4 returned. The pool is up to the wall at west-gate. The watcher in the water took Óin – we cannot get out.
