  1. Republicans don’t care. If they cared, they could have looked at any of the gazillion studies that show Democratic presidents have been better for the economy since the depression, and not by a little, but by a lot. And not just in one area of the economy, but in all areas of the economy. Wikipedia even has [a page](https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._economic_performance_under_Democratic_and_Republican_presidents) devoted to it.

    Have you ever noticed that Republicans are so obsessed with taxes? It’s always cut taxes, cut taxes… It’s because it’s easy to sell to people who don’t really understand economics. They can just think, “Oh, lower taxes, I’ll have more money.” And yeah, maybe, but can that more money buy as much as the less money you had with the higher taxes? Not necessarily and oftentimes, the answer is no.

    What Republicans in power care about is establishing a Christofascist nation where they can remain in control. Everything else is just smoke and mirrors.
