   What kind of oil puppet nonsense is this? There’s over a billion combustion engines on the road.

   Higher fuel consumption taxes don’t work at all. People are going to go from point A to point B. Even if it means spending less money elsewhere. Which is harmful to the economy btw.

   Switch the combustion engines with EVs and the coal plants to renewables. That is all. Do the math.

2. What we need are some immortality pills so the billionaires will have a self interest in not ruining the fucking planet. I wish I was being sarcastic.

3. What is needed is not a tax, but a penalty on the mining and drilling and fracking industrial sites.

   A tax is something that a government is going to use as a cover up.

   Not 5 cents per gallon of gas

   But 25,000 Euros per tonne of mine or drill site extracted oil, coal, oil sands, or oil shale.
