I get that you should always keep below the speed limit, and that you get fined when you speed. But it also sounds low-key ridiculous that you can get tens of fines in a row before the first one has arrived. This gives the drivers no chance to stop speeding as well.
Anyway, I think everyone uses waze or something similar so I think the speeders (who probably use it most) are just fine.
Maybe they should invest in better signage because holy fuck sometimes there is no way to see it. For example, the plates for zone 30 are the tiniest motherfuckers out there

Speed cameras are brightly-colored in the UK. They have to be by law, maybe we should demand something similar.
Traject controles of flietsers heb ik nooit grote problemen mee gehad. Er is een snelheidsregel, hou ik mij er niet aan dan loop ik de risico. Wat mij meer stoort is een slechte signalisatie of de snelheid zelf, daarmee bedoel ik een zone 30 waarbij meeste bestuurders het 50 of 70 inschatten. Maar kijk hoe belangrijk is een snelheidsbeperking ook als iedereen binnenkort in de file staat.

Belgian drivers IMO are not even the worst in Europe, let alone worst in the world. So why such policies targeted towards being a dick?

That’s because speedcamera’s and other systems are not meant to enhance safety, they are designed to enhance the treasury. Adapting road layouts, adding bends and / or roundabouts would have more effect but would cost money. And our ‘chosen’ leaders would rather give that money to the monstrosity named the EU, thus ensuring a nice job after they are kicked out of Belgian politics (looking at you Guy).
