‘Tornado’ sinks superyacht off Sicily as divers hunt for survivors and 4 Brits feared dead

Four British tourists are feared dead after a £14million superyacht was reportedly hit by a tornado before sinking off the coast of Sicily.

The body of a man onboard the doomed Bayesian yacht has already been found as the frantic hunt for the remaining six survivors continues.

A one-year-old Brit girl was rescued by her mother in the sea before being rushed to hospital by emergency crews in a lifeboat.

The yacht is believed to have been flooded by water after a tornado off the coast of Porticello, near Palermo, just before 5am local time on Monday morning.

Helicopters, divers, patrol boats and firefighters are all helping with the desperate search of the wreckage.

A man’s body was tragically found alongside the shipwreck by divers, reports Corriere Della Sera.

  5. A £14 million super yacht sank taking on water during a waterspout; a tornado at sea is called a waterspout. The super yacht must have been anchored with two anchors, one at the bow and one at the stern. Modern super yachts are built for pleasure and not for rough sea. With a bow and stern anchor, the yacht couldn’t swing away from the wind and like most pleasure yachts she has a low stern with sliding glass doors allowing the waves to enter the cabin.

Sadly Contact was lost yesterday of   old  Fred Binge a  retired gas lamp lighter    sailing on his home made wooden boat the (wood worm specia)l speculation suggests old Fred didn't have much money so media coverage on old Fred will not  be shown.fred's outer project which was To take visitors  to see the Titanic didn't quite make it off the drawing  bourd the converted oil drum with its 4 mile long  air pipe and a viewing window made  from a spair pain of glass from Fred's green house he couldn't cover the cost of such an advance project RIP old Fred

    – Multi billion pound fraud case in June, tycoon and co defendant win.
    Co-defendant hit by car at weekend whilst out jogging – dies.
    Other co-defendant on yacht celebrating with wife and a partner at Clifford chase law firm + head of audit committee at advantage who testified in his favour also missing, but lesser known people not connected with case survive.
    Freak storm, water spout, lightning … but no other boats or yachts affected in the area.
    One or two eyewitnesses to corroborate story (heard that before)
    No, nothing to see here, you conspiracy theorist, don’t think, it’s dangerous, leave it to the authorities. No chance of it being scuttled in choppy water for example 😂

    the pour are literally struggling to survive each day

    the rich are so comfortable and looked after they put them self's in situations which are really dangerous for fun

    They wouldn't last 5 minutes surviving on council estate, no transport, no healthy food in walking distance, weird tasting council pop, crime getting crazy everything seems legal apart from free speech

    I should charge rich people holiday here lol

  31. HP learned from Steve Wozniak's fraud. Who still believes in coincidence when the 1st defendant dies in a car accident days before and the 2nd defendant drowns? Coincidence is a master from the USA laboratories!

  32. That's an Irish tech billionaire and his banking/lawyer friends celebrating a win against Hewlett Packard after 10yrs in court. His co defendant died the day before after being struck by a car while he was out for a run.
