This and many other things are what surprised me when I first moved to Germany. I had no idea how deep Christianity is still ingrained in contemporary culture. I assumed it was a pretty secular society like many countries, but it really isn’t.
The numbers are the year, the letters are the initials of the three kings
So, just like cars need inspection every two years (TÜV), the Church comes by to make sure Satan isn´t renting out your spare room….

The poor former students are trying to get the solution until today, so they write it on their doors that hopefully one day a stranger will knock at their door to tell them the right solution. They are all stucked on the wrong path. I hope at one day a savior will pass by on his donkey

A religious cult forces children to beg for money for their sect. In the past they even black faced one of the poor kids but fortunately this part is dropped most of the time. If you open your door you even hear them lament and whimper in highest voices.
