For all the things that Russia sucks in – I’m still astonished by how good their propaganda works.
Not just in Russia, but also turning 20% – 50% of the western population into smooth brained conspiracy theorists on all kind of topics.
I want to punch them all right in the face.
Peace after nuclear holocaust is not peace.
She’s not entirely wrong. It depends on Putin. If he calls off the hostilities and ends the occupation, there will be peace. As long as he’s in power and wants war, there will be war.
Russia was in a superpower position, they gave it up in exchange for Putin’s ego boost.
They are losing war against “west” and west hasn’t even joined.

The Russian people are so interesting. It’s a paradoxical mix of “I don’t know, I don’t care, I don’t follow it” and “We are a superpower, Ukraine doesn’t exist etc.” Propaganda is wonderfully effective there.
The way they keep crying for peace, bringing into imagination their kids finally playing joyfully; I can’t help but hear the sound of guns, air strikes and rockets killing civilians deliberately (and soldiers trying to defend the fate of their civilians) in my mind in the background. How thoughtful of them to pray for peace after the war. How can one pray with blood dripping off the hands?
Fuck these de-politicized apologetic scumbags. At least have the decency to decline an interview if you are in fear of telling the truth with your face attached to it.
These people are the worst. They have given up their autonomy as individuals: think straight, be critical, be truthful. They have chosen to believe in Kremlin lies, and they are shielded from the grim reality of this war by the Kremlin who keeps these people in their Moscovite bubble of relative prosperity, at the cost of millions of people who are suffering.
It seems like they are all just scared as fuck that there will be retaliation if they speak out.

Lots of Russians know exactly what is going on. Surely they will not tell in front of a camera.
Look at their faces. They know. Listen to the way they answer very carefully. “Where people can call someone… and aren’t scared to say something to someone.” “We don’t have that now.”
These are terrified people, who are afraid not to go along with the narrative.
Some are brainwashed, those who are not are afraid

I frequently see Russians mention that they will have victory yet they seem not to have an objective in mind. Victory to them is a concept, not an actual goal or achievement… It is not an operational objective or even a specific amount of territory to hold rule over. It is a word used to reassure them and make them think they have won without a prize or medal

Yeah, they deserve Ukraine to kick their teeth in. Arrogant, self entitled and care absolutely nothing about the rest. Im only sympathetic to the russians that have an ounce of morals and brains and have to live among these muppets.

You can easily spot people watching too much TV, because all of them try to fit the WW2 narrative into the current war – or, as the Russian saying goes, to pull an owl over a globe. It doesn’t fit, but they’ll try anyway.
It’s important to remember that propaganda is not logical, it’s emotional. And it’s exploiting the missing feelings of pride and accomplishment in people’s lives: yes, your life is nothing impressive, but you are part of something glorious, a great nation fighting the Nazis, and so you can exchange your personal pride for the pride of the state.
And since we haven’t had any major state accomplishments in the last years, we’ll just take “The glorious victory in WW2” out of the grave, clean it up a little bit and wave in front of you
