Russia-Ukraine war: India’s Modi pays historic visit to Ukraine

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is treading a careful diplomatic line, as he pays a historic visit to Ukraine amid escalating tensions with Russia. The trip comes just a month after he met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, which attracted fierce criticism from Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskyy. Megumi Lim reports from Kyiv.

  1. The Hindus, who in August 2024 are the biggest buyers of Orthodox Russian oil, and who make the fortune of Petersburgers, are coming to Ukraine to play their comedy! We are in a world of appearance, of lies, of malice, of mischievous people.

  2. Russian companies are pretty much finished. The only thing that keeps them alive is China. Indian-Russian relations is more historic one regarding weaponry and voting against resolutions against India in the UN. In the past Russia was responsible for 80% of Indian weapons, now it’s not even 35%. Chinese banks will practically own Russia if they keep borrowing money for weaponry from them. The closer Russia is to China, the further it is from India this is why it’s more beneficial for India to get closer to the West.

  3. The problem with India is she tries to attract world’s attention all d time and thinks India is a world superpower but not too many nations see it that way.
Like Philippines, she is pathetically being used by US as a pawn to be antagonistic against China though to a lesser extent.
Surprisingly, almost all her neighbours are not particularly having a good term with her.
Before Olympics games started, one of her high officials said India might beat China in gold medal tally.

  4. Modi is working hard for his country. Half of Indian young people are jobless, and it's his utmost priority to find jobs for them asap. How can India become a developed country, the 2nd largest economy, and a world superpower – when half of its people are still jobless or underemployed ?? The whole world will laugh at him !!
So Modi visited Russia before to secure jobs on the front line. Now he visited Ukraine to secure jobs on the other side of the front line. Very good plan, kudos to Modi.

  5. If really India is for peace than India should convince peace treaty to Russia and Ukraine if Kremlin refuse for peace than stop buying oils and if Ukraine refuse than stop supplying medicine and equipment.

  6. Nobody can stop their war until they themselves are willing to stop it, and I don't think future of kid's of both the countries will be any good after the war end, zelensky isn't willing to not join nato, putin isn't willing to loose occupied land, lot's of misinformation in social media, it's almost three years.

  7. When trump is back? He has vowed to stop the war…wonder what zelensky will say at that time…

    अपने घर मे तो शान्ति कर ले। दूसरो की शांति दूर करने चला है।
Modi should be more focused on his Kashmir issue rather than Ukraine.
Ukraine is unreliable, untrusted, and had voted against India on the Kashmir issue in UN resolution. Modi shouldn't have visited Kiev as Russia is more reliable and trustworthy. It has always supported India no matter where and what the issues are. Let Ukraine play in the hands of NATO. Why should India support such an evil who had voted against it in the UN on Kashmir's issue?
In fact, Ukraine has been made a scapegoat by the US and NATO. They'll keep continuing the war as long as possible till and until last Ukrainian is dead.
NATO will invade Russia before the US presidential election schedule in November 2024, and you could expect NATO'S invasion of Russia by the end of next month or little early. The force of democrat criminals knows that this is the only way to keep Donald Trump to be reelected as the next US president.
