  1. This needs to be dealt with swiftly so we can all continue eating our meat guilt-free.

  2. I’m not a vegan/vegetarian but can you call yourself any animal lover if you know things like this happen but you eat meat anyway

i don’t label myself that anymore since i came to the conclusion this won’t stop me eating meat , but i’ve had some heated conversations with people who insist they love animals but couldn’t give up eating them ,knowing full well this is the kind of stuff that happens to them

  3. Not surprised at all – there is no such thing as ethical meat

  4. The RSPCA assured stuff means fuck all, nothing but a gimmick.

  5. This is a welcome change of pace from all the ‘Sick pigs hit workers’ headlines.

  6. Farmers herd with paddles all the time, they’re not light and easy to move. What are they supposed to do say here piggy piggy lol They’re about to be killed.
I’ve worked at a turkey abattoir and that place would give you nightmares compared to this lame shit post.

  7. A lot of articles like this are pure ragebait, but

    >C&K Meats’ website says … They are slaughtered quickly and humanely

    and

    >as they are herded to carbon dioxide chambers

seem _very_ contradictory. CO2, afaik, is a nasty way to go.

And as a consumer, I’d happily pay more for animals that were actually processed humanely.
