The Indian prime minister Narendra Modi has visited Ukranian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv, just weeks after he met the Russian president Vladimir Putin. This is the first visit to Ukraine by an Indian leader in 30 years.

Looking at the frontline, Ukraine’s foothold in Kursk has still not been displaced by Russia – what’s making that so difficult for the Kremlin?

Sky’s military analyst Sean Bell explains.

  1. It says something about a leadership that doesn't trust their defense forces enough to arm them. 😅👍

  2. “Since the beginning of hostilities in Kursk region, the AFU losses amounted to up to 5,137 Ukrainian troops, 69 tanks, 27 infantry fighting vehicles, 55 armored personnel carriers, 350 armored fighting vehicles, 158 motor vehicles, 34 artillery guns, five SAM [surface-to-air missile] launchers, 11 multiple-launch rocket systems, including three of HIMARS system and one of MLRS [multiple launch rocket] system, six electronic warfare stations, as well as four units of engineering vehicles, including two counter obstacle vehicles and one UR-77 mine clearing vehicle.”

  3. NATO and Ukraine made the dumbest decision to enter Kursk region in Russia. In the war of attrition casualty ratio matters. Not territory. NATO and Ukraine terrorists in Kursk will be annihilated. Why? Because NATO and Ukraine terrorists have no air support whilst Russia does. NATO and Ukraine made a blunder of epic proportions.

  4. India is out for Indians. They are the world's #1 online scammers of US citizens. Look it up!

Modi is buying oil from Russia and Russia uses the money to kill babies and drop bombs on hospitals in Ukraine. India is supporting the war! They are not neutral. India should be sanctioned and all Indian people should leave the USA!! Do not buy anything from India!!

  5. Russia's response to the Kursk invasion has been incredibly scattered and weak. Putin seems fine with losing some Russian territory while his Donbas progress continues. This is all according to plan of course. But who's plan?

  6. Why the Russian authorities are “in no hurry” to liberate the Kursk region, Tatyana Stanovaya, an expert from the Carnegie Center, explained in her interview with The Wall Street Journal.

According to her, today the strategic goal of the Russian command is to establish complete control over the territory of the Donetsk region (as the DPR continues to be called in the West), which will ultimately lead to the collapse of the Ukrainian government and force Kyiv to negotiate on Moscow’s terms.

As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to leave the occupied territories of the Kursk region without a fight, which will allow the Russian authorities to avoid a scenario with large-scale destruction and urban battles.

There is no particular panic in Moscow about the situation in the Kursk region. Vladimir Putin doesn't think the Ukrainian offensive has much impact on his broader strategic calculus.

    – said Stanovaya.

  7. They have no evidence what so ever to show that is Russia strike hit this hospital every missile that Russia targets is got image that shows where exactly being targeted

  8. I cannot imagine being there when a childrens Hospital is destroyed. That would probably scar everyone for life.

  9. The US started this war. The Biden administration were and are the aggressors. When a Government oppresses it's people it's called Civil unrest! When a country imposes its will on other nations it's called war. The Biden administration had two separate chance to end this war and choose not too.

  10. Whatever Modi is cultivating at home is the same thing that lead to the Ukrainian war….everyone has the right to exist in spite of religious, political or cultural differences

  11. Where does this end? Wouldn’t a truce and a subsequent 20+ year insurgency in the occupied regions be a whole lot less expensive in lives and treasure?

  12. India and China have dragged on this war providing weapons and support to Russia's invasion, those countries should be ashamed. The world would be a better place with peace instead of facilitation of war like they have. I hope the west remembers this.

  13. I think it's time to throw out a table and talk as the battle rages Ukraine has its strongest stance since the beginning of this mess. Russia is far from thinking they are losing yet but to save the destruction of Moscow they might talk peace.

  14. Ukraine takes 0.2% of Russian territory
Media: wow unbelievable breakthrough and big blow, embarrassing.

Russia takes 20% of Ukrainian territory
Media: Wow unbelievable. Such an embarrassment for Russia as Ukraine continues to retreat day by day

  15. My question about India importing 20 X more oil is: How much of that oil is used internally vs how much oil is being resold through India, including to EU and NATO countries avoiding/going around Russian oil sanctions??? MORE THAN JUST SAYING…
