  3. Pop singer Melanie Müller has been fined €80,000 by a Leipzig court for making what was judged to be a Hitler salute at a right wing concert, which she claims was just an effort to energize the crowd.

  7. As a German I had to look her up and yep, she is a B-list celebrity at most. She is as well known a singer as my supermarket cashier.

  8. Why don’t they ever own up to their actions and beliefs?? If they are so *proud, moral, and right* then they should be defending themselves.

  24. I live in Germany, am a musician, listen to pop and rock music on the radio constantly, and I had no idea of who this is. I’m probably more famous, LOL.

  34. I mean. If you were gonna ask me to pick her out of a lineup of people that I thought would do the Nazi salute, she’d be my instant pick.

  35. I remember my friends in middle school doing the Nazi salute for “laughs”. And I was the only one unamused. It pissed me off.

    But then I remember them lining both sides of a hallway and doing the Nazi salute. And one of the teachers saw it, smiled so wide, and asked to take a picture.

    Few years later I was more angry with my friends. Now that I’m almost 30….. fuck that teacher, man..
