  1. I know more of the whisky than the town, but the whisky is delightful.

  2. What’s the story in Oban today wouldn’t you like to know?

  3. I’ve heard of it. They have a distillery that has great whiskey. Also, it’s where you catch the ferry out to the Inner Hebrides. I hope to go there next year to visit the distillery and also catch the ferry to Mull to visit Castle Duarte.

  4. Yeah, it’s the main town on Stewart Island, off the south coast of New Zealand.

  5. It’s just outside Balamory on the isle of Skye.

  6. Only know of it because my mum lives there well just outside in the village called dunbeg 😂

  7. Stayed at a very nice bed and breakfast there in 1985 when bicycle touring Scotland. Always have had great memories of Oban. I’m from Texas.

  8. Apparently my long lost uncle lives thereabouts on a croft. Never been able to find him. Think he may have changed his name maybe.

  9. Oban is the one regret from the year of the plague. Been all over Scotland and passed Oban a couple of times but never actually stayed. I shall return.

Had an interesting trip a little north of there on the old military road. Running in convoys because the main road had a bit of a landslip.

  10. Yes, I’m here right now visiting family. What do you need to know?

  11. Can’t tell if half these replies are excellent pisstakes or lost Americans.
